Hiretsukan is a hardcore/screamo band that came into existence around the turn of the century. Their particular style evokes sounds often relegated to early 90's and to other bands of yore (think Moss Icon meets Mohinder, but up the passion). I could have sworn this album was at least 15 years old had I not just read otherwise. There are some really beautiful melodies and riffs to be had from this band, as well as the abrasion and dissonance that most people have come to expect from this particular genre. Add into that mix female vocals and some really solid rhythm and you've got yourself (a stew going) a banger. This is an exceptional record and allegedly this band is still around and playing music, which is a delight. Regardless, I recommend downloading this album and getting into it as soon as possible. I made the mistake of sleeping on it for about a year and am currently regretting that decision.

Recommended Tracks: All of them. This album doesn't even break the half hour mark, it won't kill you to listen to this thing front-to-back.
