I just got this last night (it leaked earlier in the day), and holy serious fuck. It's really good. A pretty big stylistic shift compared to AJJ's other stuff -- the songs' arrangements are more fleshed out and the songs themselves are more ambitious -- but it's pulled off really well. This also happens to be the most pitifully sad album I've heard recently. The album's opening line: "The Michael Jordan of drunk driving played his final game tonight."

There's a lot to say about this, but I don't want to get into it. Every goddamn song is good; Knife Man is less explicitly folky punk, but keeps the general feel of their older material. Just listen to it.

Recommended Track: "American Tune"
For Fans Of: Ghost Mice; Defiance, Ohio; Paul Baribeau; et al.
