L'antietam - Aurthur Carr (2007)

1. The Overture
2. Wrong Ways to Feel Secure
3. You're Welcome
4. Dear Dead Man
5. A Side of States
6. The End Birth
7. Our Elders

L'antietam is a screamo band from New Hampshire/Massachusetts that plays incredibly fast, intense and dark songs. The vocals are raw and oftentimes unintelligible while the guitar playing is spastic and filled with quick chord changes and noodly riffs.

With the exception of a split with Kidcrash in 2008, Aurthur Carr is L'antietam's most recent release. It, along with their early EP/discography, Family, are both essential screamo albums. Aurthur Carr displays a maturity in L'antietam's sound, evolving to a more dark and more full tone than they displayed on Family and earlier releases. Here, the songs are vast soundscapes of angry and intricate screamo, ending with the instrumental masterpiece "Our Elders".

FFO: Kidcrash, Hot Cross, Age Sixteen
